Blue Tuesday

It was supposed to be a day of sunshine according to the forecast I read over the weekend.

It was supposed to be a day of babysitting class at the Red Cross for Light Princess.

It was supposed to be a day of important back-to-school errands for Snowman.

It was supposed to be a day of joyful preparation for the much-anticipated arrival of a friend and her son.

Instead, it is raining, the babysitting class dates were changed without notice (!), Light Princess has the bug that I brought home from Hotlanta, I am nursing her, Snowman is sleeping the morning away, and I've suggested a day's delay in my friend's arrival.

So I hope you'll forgive me if I'm feeling a little blue about it.than

Still, I know all is not lost (except the babysitting class). The visit will begin as soon as safely possible, the child will heal and is in fact *less* sick than Pure Luck and I were, and I am rounding the bend of the latest Rev. Clare mystery in between loads of laundry and snatches of the Olympics. I guess it could be worse. Anyone remember the time I took a reading week and spent it dealing with head lice? (Both posts from back in the Blogger era, so all comments are lost to history. I believe the ditty about the lice was popular.)

And that week I had to write a sermon, too...

Back to the laundry.

Oh, bummer, Songbird. Those all sound like pretty valid reasons for being blue. I hope things start to turn rosy and golden soon.

Must be something going around. I'm sitting here dealing with what appears to be ringworm around my navel (ugh!).

Hope your corners lift soon. Join me for some tea?

Hope things make a turn for the better soon.
